(An actual) Hello world!

I usually delete this post when I create a new WordPress site as ‘Hello World!’ doesn’t seem appropriate.

This time, it does.

This is the beginning of a long process. There are so many words and images, that I’ve not yet fully conceived, that I want to share here. So in true MVP style, a default WordPress theme will do the trick – it lets me add content into the CMS and presents it nicely for you to read it.

Content is where it begins

To be able to dress up this site in any reasonable manner it needs to have some content in it, otherwise – what’s the point?

You don’t want to open up a beautifully crafted page, visually stimulating and full of promise, only to find that it’s full of lorem ipsum text and a bunch of photos of happy people doing random things.

I don’t want to create that. That would be crap.

What I do want to do is share with you my life in UX. Insights found from usability testing or from the blogs of industry experts. Tips & tricks learnt the hard way. Advice for people new to UX, like my CareerFoundry students. Interesting and useful books I’ve read/found. The work I do. The work I’d like to do. Random things that may not be so random.

Anything that crops up in my life in UX really.

If you’re interested in any of that then take a look around. If you’re here early enough, there may not be much to see yet – come back again soon!
